Deficiencies — your punch list — are items of incomplete or non-conforming work that must be corrected. Each deficiency is assigned to a responsible party, pinned to a location, documented with photos, and moved through a status workflow until it’s verified closed.
Log and resolve a deficiency
1
Create a deficiency
From Field Execution → Deficiencies click New, or create one directly from a failed inspection item. Choose a category and write a clear description.
2
Set location and evidence
Assign the project location and attach photos so the responsible party knows exactly what and where.
3
Assign the responsible party
Assign the subcontractor or company responsible for the fix and set a due date.
4
Track the status
Deficiencies flow Open → Ready for Review → Closed. The responsible party marks work complete; your team verifies before closing.
5
Approve and close
If your project requires it, closing routes through an approval so a deficiency can’t be closed without sign-off. Verified items move to Closed.
Troubleshooting
The sub says it’s fixed but I don’t agree
Don’t approve the closeout. Add a comment and photo of the remaining issue and send it back to Open — the full history is preserved.
