Tasks are lightweight action items for coordinating day-to-day work that doesn’t belong in a formal tool like RFIs or submittals. Assign an owner, add watchers, set a due date, and track the task through to done — with a full activity trail.

Create and track a task

Create a task

Go to Project Control → Tasks and click New Task. Give it a clear title and description.

Assign and add watchers

Set the assignee and a due date, and add any watchers who need visibility.

Track status

Move the task through its statuses as work progresses. Every change is recorded in the task’s activity log.

Troubleshooting

Someone didn’t get notified

Confirm they’re the assignee or a watcher, and check their notification preferences.
