Lien waivers protect the project from claims by confirming that a party has been paid for work through a given date. Syntecton ties waivers to payments so you can see, at a glance, which waivers are outstanding before releasing funds.
Manage lien waivers
1
Open Lien Waivers
Go to Financial Control → Lien Waivers to see the status of waivers across vendors and payments.
2
Request a waiver
Generate a waiver request tied to a specific payment or invoice, and send it to the responsible party.
3
Collect signatures
Waivers can be signed electronically. Once executed, the waiver is stored against the payment record.
4
Gate payment on waivers
Use the outstanding-waiver view to ensure you’ve collected the required waivers before releasing the next payment.
Troubleshooting
A waiver shows outstanding after signing
Confirm the signed waiver was linked to the correct payment period, not a prior one.
